Why We Started 918 Kids
At 918 Kids Early Learning Center, we believe the foundation for a bright future begins long before a child enters elementary school. It begins with feeling safe, being encouraged to explore, learning how to make friends, discovering what they are capable of, and having adults who believe in them.
We started 918 Kids because we wanted to create more than just a place for children to spend their day. We wanted to create a place where children can grow into confident, capable, kind, and curious people.
Through years of watching children learn, grow, overcome challenges, and discover their own strengths, we saw just how important the early years are. A child who learns to try again after a mistake, speak up with confidence, care for others, solve a problem independently, or proudly say, “I can do it!” is developing skills that will stay with them for years to come.
The heart behind 918 Kids.
Our approach combines play-based academics, creative expression, movement, and social-emotional development to give children opportunities to learn in ways that feel natural and meaningful. We want children to be excited to come through our doors, proud of what they accomplish, and confident in who they are becoming.
We don't measure success by how quickly a child can read, count, or complete a worksheet. We measure it by the little moments that show growth — the first time they make a new friend, try something that once scared them, solve a problem on their own, help a classmate, or walk into the classroom with a smile and confidence.
Because our goal isn't simply to prepare children for kindergarten.
Our goal is to help prepare them for life.
Every child who leaves 918 Kids should leave with a stronger sense of confidence, curiosity, independence, and possibility — ready to take on whatever comes next and believe that their future can be bright.
